Greeting

Hello and welcome to the blog of one crazy mom!

Here I want to share about my life, my struggles and successes, the brighter pieces of my life's mosaics and the darker ones, too. They all are a part of the masterpiece God is working on, it just takes time to see a bigger picture.

How Blessed Are We!..

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people whom He has chosen as His heritage!"

Indeed, in this country we are surrounded by countless blessings! And although America is becoming more and more secular, the Biblical truths are still strongly embedded in its laws and people's mindset. As long as we as nation love and obey God and trust in Him, we will enjoy the freedom only God can give!..

On July 4th we had a perfect day at the local lagoon. Despite the heat, our son spent there his whole day in grandma's company. I had to bring two younger ones home for a nap. Bogdan participated at all the activities and collected quite a few prizes!

Even Illya, who is not too big on abandoning his Kindle projects for long periods of time, spent half a day at the beach club with the family.

The fireworks at 9pm were the icing on the cake (a thick and rich one, really!). For 20 minutes we got to enjoy the best fireworks I've seen in years!

We came home happy but t-i-r-e-d! But, boy, was it worth it!..

We thank God for the opportunity to live in this country and enjoy the blessings of American life!.. Happy birthday, America!

Things I Love About My Husband

Being married is a wonderful journey. The one with its ups and downs. One would think that the "ups" is a better part. Perhaps, I often think so myself.

However, over the period of 10 years (yes, we'll be celebrating our 10th anniversary just in several weeks!), I've come to realize that the "down" times are the driving force in a healthy marriage. Ours is healthy, by the grace of God, to whom we had initially submitted ourselves and our relationship.

The times, when one of us (or we both) is struggling, help define the other person and highlight his/her strengths and virtues.

In our marriage my attraction to my husband is no longer based just on pure emotion or physical attraction. Both those things are still there, but I've also come to respect that man, to appreciate him for all he is and all he does. Illya deserved a much bigger post that this one, but for now I'll just say that I love my husband for...

- being my very best friend;

- loving and accepting me always, unconditionally, just the way I am;

- protecting me, physically, emotionally, financially;

- being the BEST DADDY to our three kids:

I love you, Illya!
Thank you for being more than what I had ever hoped for!..
(and for waiting patiently while I'm writing this post :))

Grateful...

I am so grateful for my sweetest kids!
They fill my life with joy and laughter every day!

I have always been worried about being able to raise kids in a godly way, so they love their God, obey their parents and treat each other gently. This is still a concern of mine. Only now I know that I am not alone raising them. My God, who is also my Father and my Lord, takes care of my kids even when I don't feel up to a task. He knows my heart and hears my prayers. He loves my kids as much as I do, or even more so.

I thank you, Father, for entrusting me with these precious little souls and for helping me teach them your truths. Please watch over them and give me wisdom to be the best mom I could be to them!..
